Another World First! UKAS DM1!Laser Screed UKAS DM1
Stanford yet again raised the standards available to clients and end users by achieving the Worlds First UKAS accredited DM1 from TR34 Appendix C using Laser Screed methods. The successful floor for Office Depot International in Leicester was confirmed as the onerous DM1 specification using the alternative Appendix C measurement method within TR34 since 2003 by FACE Consultants who remain the only surveyor to achieve UKAS accreditation
Stanford believes in constructing floors to be flat without the need for substantial corrective grinding and confirm Appendix C specifications are available at no extra cost to their Chapter 4 counterparts
The obvious advantages of Appendix C over the existing Chapter 4 remain that ALL wheel tracks of the MHE are measured and taken into consideration rather than just the front load wheels as with Chapter 4. In theory, a very bumpy floor (think cobbled street) could be ground in the front two wheel tracks only and reach a tolerance of CAT1 or Superflat BUT obviously the centre rear wheel is still running on our proverbial cobbled street. Appendix C measures ALL wheel tracks preventing this scenario ensuring smooth MHE operation Back to news
